About us
We develop and operate practice and IP management software for patent attorneys and lawyers. Our focus is on structured workflows, consistent data management and reliable day-to-day operation – from implementation through to ongoing support. As interest in Sympatent grows, we are looking for new colleagues to join our remote-first team.

Our first steps in IP software
Drawing on more than 17 years of experience in software development, we create a simple but effective solution for monitoring patent registers. While marketing this product, we repeatedly hear from firms looking for a modern solution for IP and practice management.
The launch of Sympatent IPM
Sympatent Software GmbH is founded in Munich, with a clear focus on IP management and law firm workflows. The existing register data comparison features are retained. Our first customers include several firms with around 20–30 employees.
Continued growth
New and increasingly large firms regularly join our customer base. We significantly expand our range of features and our expertise in large-scale data migrations.
Sympatent Automation Suite
The numerous automation features already developed in response to customer feedback are brought together in the Sympatent Automation Suite. Sympatent becomes a comprehensive solution for law firms.
Sympatent as an IP and practice management platform
We substantially expand our services, now also available with an optional Service Level Agreement (SLA). Larger law firm customers use the newly available Sympatent API to integrate Sympatent fully into their existing software environment.
Client portal and MCP server
The Sympatent client portal connects our customers directly with their clients. Its appearance can be fully tailored to the firm’s corporate identity, and it streamlines client communication, for example when obtaining instructions on patent renewals. The Sympatent MCP server enables Sympatent IPM to be integrated with AI systems and agents.
